Womens Combat and Self Defense Classes
In 2018 comes Elements of the Animal Kung Fu and Self Defense system's latest addition in the Self Defense industry. An 8 week course specifically designed for women. A course which serves as a great way to get fit, tone your body, learn to defend yourself and have a lot of fun at the same time .
Students will be taught simple and easy techniques which develop confidence, movement and skill,needed in a self defense situation. Skills which help women gauge a potentially threatening situation, and then, how to react and act confidently in the quickest, most effective way possible. Skills which will optimise the women's mobility, ability to react, ability to strike and where to strike with the correct technique, precision and placement for maximum results. Using the attackers strength and aggression against himself.
Womens Self Defense needs to be simple, effective and fast, not complicated and fancy but street applicable.
With a life background of martialArts and over 40 years of combined experience of Kung Fu, Darrin and Steven Segedin are delivering you a programe with principles and techniques that effectively utilise attackers power, force and momentum to DISENGAGE and run or DISENGAGE and retaliate - relative to the situation-
Along with the learning of techniques and effective ways to defend themselves from an attacker, the students will also be given a good workout at the same time. Fitness drills and exercises to get you into shape and good health. Exercises and cardio based drills which not only burn fat and benefit the physical body, but drills developed to aid the learning of techniques, building power, reaction speed and economy of motion.
The Women's Self Defense course runs for 8 weeks and starts late February and is available to women of all ages. Classes will be at Ormiston Senior College, Friday nights at 7:00pm-8.00pm
